Design, engineering and facility commissioning

Who they are
BRUNS-PAK has been developing data and telecommunication facilities since 1980, with more than 6,000 consulting, design/engineering and construction projects across higher education, healthcare, banking and finance, industrial, pharmaceutical, public sector and retail — and a 98% repeat customer base.
They carry a full-service staff of licensed civil, electrical and mechanical engineers and architects, alongside construction project managers, Registered Communications Distribution Designers and Revit/CADD technicians. IBM business partner since 1988; partnerships including Dell, Deloitte, Accenture, CDW, Cisco, Kyndryl, WWT, AECOM, Verizon Business and Duke Energy.
What they do in a Veridyn program
Assessment methodology and fieldwork. Thermal and computational fluid dynamics analysis. Design and engineering across architectural, electrical, mechanical, structural and fire protection. Construction administration. Facility commissioning — the systems-level testing of UPS, generators, chillers and suppression that proves a room works before you trust it with load.
Why we selected them
Their engagements include a thermal airflow analysis of an existing university data center followed by a retrofit to carry 100 HPC racks in the same room; the repurposing of floor area inside a live hospital facility into a high-density zone; a consolidation study across fifteen-plus university data centers; and an assessment of whether an existing pharmaceutical facility could replace a state data center rather than building new.
That is four decades of recovering stranded capacity, before anyone called it that.
The Reliability Ranking
BRUNS-PAK maintains a proprietary 1–10 Data Center Reliability Ranking, a framework for describing a facility’s actual resilience. With permission, Veridyn uses it as the output scale of the Capacity Assessment, so you receive not just a capacity number but a reliability level — where the facility sits today and where it needs to be for the workload you’re planning.
Single accountability
Every Veridyn engagement runs on one contract, one schedule and one point of accountability — whoever is holding the tools.
